What: Discussing when and how to include Parenting Experts in family law matters (Alberta Court of King's Bench Family Practice Note 7 and Family Practice Note 8) with respect to determining court-ordered interventions, drafting court orders as well as creating and maintaining a multidisciplinary approach to managing processes that include a Parenting Expert.
What parties and the courts are seeking is not always compatible with what Parenting Experts are able to provide due to professional and ethical limitations. Additionally, Parenting Experts are not necessarily aware of the limitations of legal processes or what the Court is looking for. This presentation is an opportunity to highlight factors for consideration when counsel are looking to include Parenting Experts ("PE") and how PE's can be of most assistance.
