Audience: Lawyers, Mental Health Professionals Time: Friday, March 17, 2017
Some parents manage the challenges of separation while others embark on the high seas of conflict. They can become angry and mistrustful even of the professionals who are trying to assist them. This session will highlight the most frequent ethical dilemmas arising in our work, as lawyers and mental health professionals, with high conflict parents. There will be discussion of ways to address these issues so that we ethically serve the client and protect both the client and the professional.

Format: Panel presentation and opportunities for audience discussion.

 Panel Discussion

This panel will be moderated and a number of key questions
 will be posed to each youth/young adult panel member.
 What was important related to the process of family restructuring
 to the panel members? How were they involved?
 How would they have liked to have been involved?
 What issues need to be considered for youth from
 those recently having experienced family divorce.
